We just released a new episode “Options Off a Tough Backhand Dink”. When dinking like the pros diagonally backhand to backhand, sometimes your opponent moves you to the outside and looks like you are beaten…BUT here are FOUR options when that happens: 1=nearest point of relief 2= bump lob 3= poke hard down the middle and 4= around the post. As always…it takes practice to react quickly during a match so you can use this or any other strategy.
We just released a new episode “Stacking”. When a leftie and rightie play it’s often advantageous to keep both their forehands in the middle. Stacking involves switching positions using a partial stack (only when your team is serving) or a full stack (switching when both serving and receiving). There are also disadvantages which we address. One very important thing is that you HAVE to be able to keep score and know what side to be on. If you can’t, do NOT stack! Stacking can also be used to keep the stronger forehand of rightie/rightie or leftie/leftie team in the middle. It can also be done to change things up to cause confusion or a change of pace. As always…it takes practice to react quickly during a match so you can use this or any other strategy.
